It All Started Back
in 1960.
It was 1960. The nation was welcoming a new President from Massachusetts to office.
The Yankees lost a devastating Game 7 of the World Series to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
A young boy named Calogero Lorenzo Palminteri lived at 667 E. 187th Street, down the block.
Gino and Ciara Raguso opened Gino's Pastry Shop, with a "dollar and a dream."
They believed in hard work, quality ingredients, and building relationships with their beloved customers. Over the next 58 years, their family grew, and Gino's remained a fixture of the neighborhood. Today, the Raguso family still turns out the best cannoli and sfogliatelle around, and Gino's even made it to Broadway in 2016 with Chazz's Palminteri's
